Project Bondhu – A Holistic Psychological & Legal Support Initiative
Launched by Proyash Welfare Association

Primary Structure of Project Bondhu
Proyash Welfare Association initiated Project Bondhu in the second quarter of July 2025 with a vision to create a safe, supportive, and informed ecosystem for students, youth, and communities. While the conceptual groundwork began in mid-2025, the project attained its full operational structure and impact in January 2026, marking a significant milestone in Proyash’s journey toward social well-being.
Project Bondhu is designed as a comprehensive support system, addressing two of the most critical yet neglected areas of social welfare—mental health and legal awareness.
Project Bondhu is divided into two core verticals: Psychological Work, Legal Work. Each vertical functions independently while complementing the other to ensure holistic development and protection of individuals, especially students and youth.
I. Psychological Work under Project Bondhu
The psychological component of Project Bondhu is further divided into two specialized divisions, focusing on awareness as well as direct intervention.

Under this division, Proyash Welfare Association conducts Mental Health Awareness Seminars for:

Key Areas of Legal Awareness:
Fundamental Rights as enshrined in Part III of the Constitution of India
Human Rights and their relevance in daily life
Student-centric legal rights and protections.
Additionally, Project Bondhu actively spreads awareness about:
National Legal Services Authority (NALSA)
State Legal Services Authority
District Legal Services Authority

Through workshops, sessions, and outreach programmes, students are informed about free legal aid mechanisms, grievance redressal systems, and access to justice.
Project Bondhu reflects Proyash Welfare Association’s commitment to creating a mentally healthy, legally aware, and socially responsible society. By integrating psychological support with legal awareness, the project ensures that individuals are not only emotionally supported but also legally empowered.
Through affordability, accessibility, institutional collaboration, and awareness-driven interventions, Project Bondhu stands as a sustainable model of community-centric welfare.
