Poribesh Bidyarthi: Cultivating Environmental Stewards

Nurturing Environmental Guardians through Practical Education
We, the Proyash Welfare Association, recognize that traditional educational institutions often fail to provide comprehensive insights into environmental issues. Our project, “Poribesh Bidyarthi,” aims to bridge this gap by spreading environmental awareness at the grassroots level in schools and colleges. We strive to make children and youth aware of various environmental issues and the importance of protection and sustainability, ensuring they get practical-based environmental education.

Our Intention:

We instill moral values related to the environment in young minds. By emphasizing practical-based education, we believe that children and youth will gain a deeper and more relatable understanding of environmental concepts. Rather than focusing solely on theoretical knowledge, we provide practical insights and experiences, empowering the next generation to become responsible and informed environmental stewards.

Our initiative:

We emphasize Eco-bricks and bio-enzymes, integrating innovative methods to teach sustainable practices and create a lasting impact on future generations.

Eco-Bricks: Build Green, Live Sustainably Together

We conduct practical workshops in local schools, spreading awareness about environmental protection. We motivate children to collect recyclable plastic and make eco-bricks, which, after processing, are used to create stools and benches. Through these initiatives, we significantly affect over 150 children and they make a positive impact on their families.

Bio-enzymes: Eco-Friendly Solutions for Cleaner Living

Our school students collect waste such as banana peels and vegetable scraps and store them in bottles for an extended period to produce bio-chemicals. From these bio-chemicals, we create eco-friendly dishwashing liquid.  These enzymes are effective natural cleaners, breaking down dirt and grime without the need for harsh chemicals. By engaging children in this process, we not only teach them about sustainability but also empower them to contribute to environmental protection practically and creatively.

Social Forestation: Greening Communities, Growing Futures

We raise awareness about the importance of forests and environmental conservation, engaging communities in tree-planting activities. Our efforts include educating children about environmental issues and securing green spaces for the future. Through initiatives like the Miyawaki Forest, we aim to create dense, biodiverse forests that foster sustainability and ecological balance.

Waste Management: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

At Proyash Welfare Association, we are dedicated to promoting sustainable waste management practices. Our initiatives include community education on waste segregation, recycling programs, and the implementation of eco-friendly disposal methods. By reducing waste and encouraging responsible consumption, we aim to create a cleaner, healthier environment for future generations.

Pond Rejuvenation: Restoring Vitality, Reviving Nature

Our pond rejuvenation initiative focuses on revitalizing local water bodies to restore their ecological balance. By cleaning, de-silting, and planting native vegetation, we aim to enhance biodiversity, improve water quality, and provide a sustainable habitat for aquatic life. Join us in bringing our ponds back to life and ensuring a healthier environment.
